We make no guarantees that the below maps won’t change, but we do not have any plans to do so (again). 95% of the SDU course does not follow any defined track, trail or road, however it will be very well marked using reflective and fluoro coloured markers every 20-40m. These will be effective in both the day and night and there is no need for participants to have any navigation skills in order to complete the course. However in saying that, it might be helpful to know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and that the sand dunes of SDU run in a SSE-NNW direction. Regarding elevation, we expect each loop to have somewhere between 150-250m of climbing across the 25km.
